Sweat glands require a nerve impulse to stimulate them to produce sweat, and if Botox® blocks the transmission of the impulse, the glands do not become activated, and the area remains dry.
 
The areas that benefit the most from this are underarms, palms and soles of the feet and generally an increased dryness is usually experienced after a week and this lasts for 6 – 12 months.
